Grimentz<\/h2>\n

Thick white snowflakes that transform the landscape into a blossom white carpet and silence that soothes our ears. How enchanted the world seems to us. Over the past years quite often this was only a short dream as the snow was melting too fast. But particularly this winter season the weather god’s ideas seem different. On some occasions up to 70 cm of snow fell within merely 24 hours. Subsequently snow shoveling was the first order of the day, manifold in a drop-dead gorgeous ski winter atmosphere. Meanwhile we are into the middle of February and the snow joy continues.<\/p>\n

\"Grimentz\"<\/center><\/p>\n

But what on top of downhill skiing is there to experience in and around Grimentz?<\/p>\n

Ski Mountaineering<\/strong><\/p>\n

On skis equipped with skins exploring the mountains by hiking uphill along the slopes very early in the mornings. Thereafter a rich buffet is waiting for every participant at the Bendolla gondola station restaurant at a cost of only CHF 10 per person before skiing downhill on untouched slopes. Each Wednesday at 6:25 a.m. the adventure starts at the gondola bottom terminal. Everyone who makes it out of bed that early is welcome.<\/p>\n

There are numerous very well-signposted tracks through the forests away from busy ski pistes. They lead through fluffy snow passing ancient barns blackened by the sun and invite to picnics with splendid views.<\/p>\n

\"Snowy<\/center><\/p>\n

Quite simply the across age snow activity: there are two long sledge runs through the Grimentz forest downhill from the gondola and chairlift mountain station.<\/p>\n

Skating<\/strong><\/p>\n

Offering an awesome view of the Val d’Anniviers the natural skating rink invites to stay also in winterly temperatures as there are warm-up areas inside an adjacent changing room as well as the traditional ‘Meleze’ lounge around the corner.<\/p>\n

Curling<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Swiss love curling and we are very good at it. Our national single mixed team just won the Olympic Games silver medal. One should definitely give it a try and experience the fun of a ‘slomotion’ sports activity.<\/p>\n

Dicke weiche Flocken, die die Landschaft in einen bl\u00fctenweissen Teppich verwandeln und Stille, die unser Ohr beruhigt. Wie verzaubert erscheint uns die Welt. In den vergangenen Jahren war dieser Traum nur kurz denn all zu schnell schmolz der Schnee. Doch dieses Jahr ist es ganz anders. An manchen Tagen fielen bis \u00a070 cm Schnee innerhalb von nur 24 Stunden. Dann war jeden Tag Schneeschaufeln angesagt und das vielfach bei sch\u00f6nstem SkiWinterWetter. Mittlerweile haben wir Mitte Februar und die Schneefreude h\u00e4lt an.<\/p>\n

Doch was gibt es ausser Skifahren noch in Grimentz zu erleben?<\/p>\n

Skiwandern<\/strong><\/p>\n

Die Ski mit Fellen ausger\u00fcstet und fr\u00fch morgens entlang der Pisten die Berge erobern. Danach gibt es ein reichliches Fr\u00fchst\u00fccksbuffet (CHF 10.-\/Person) in der Bendolla und die Abfahrt auf unber\u00fchrten Pisten. Jeden Mittwoch um 6h25 ist Treffpunkt an der Gondel. Mitmachen kann jeder, der sich um diese\u00a0 Uhrzeit aus dem Bett bem\u00fchen m\u00f6chte.<\/p>\n

Schneeschuhwandern<\/strong><\/p>\n

Es gibt zahlreiche sehr gute ausgeschilderte Weg \u00a0durch die W\u00e4lder und abseits der Pisten. Sie f\u00fchren durch flauschigen Schnee, vorbei an alten sonnengeschw\u00e4rzten Scheunen und laden vielerorts zum Picknick mit Ausblick ein.<\/p>\n

Schlittenfahren<\/strong><\/p>\n

Die alters\u00fcbergreifende Schneeaktivit\u00e4t schlechthin: es gibt zwei lange Schlittenabfahrten durch den Wald in Grimentz – die Gondel und ein Sessellift bringen Sie weit nach oben.<\/p>\n

Schlittschuhlaufen<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mit einem einzigartigen Blick in das Val D\u2019Anniviers l\u00e4dt die nat\u00fcrliche Eisbahn dazu ein auch bei winterlichen Temperaturen ein bisschen zu verweilen \u2013 denn aufw\u00e4rmen kann man sich in der beheizten Umkleide oder in der traditionellen Gaststube des \u00abMel\u00e8ze\u00bb direkt nebenan.<\/p>\n

Curling<\/strong><\/p>\n

Die Schweizer spielen gerne Curling und das auch besonders gut. Bei Olympia stehen sie gerade im Finale. Ein Versuch sollte es wert zu erahnen, dass es Spass machen kann sich der Langsamkeit hinzugeben.<\/p>\n
