Spring skiing in Grimentz – Fresh snow and long days with plenty of sunshine<\/h2>\n

With 300 days of sunshine a year and the highest slopes in Switzerland, the Valais is the perfect region for the snow sports spring feeling even in the late Easter holidays this year.<\/p>\n

Spring shows his first flowers in the valley, but there is still enough snow in the mountains of the Val D’Anniviers, which was refreshed with a thick layer last week.<\/p>\n

\nThe big spring trend is the firn skiing. Many ski fans are even waiting for the late season. The secret lies in the changed meteorological conditions. At night a soft layer forms on the solid snow surface a kind of powder snow, that is what skiers call firn. Gliding down the slopes on this layer is like flying \u2013 actually even better.<\/p>\n
