The major asset of this new winter season<\/h2>\n

The promise of a new ski lifts in Grimentz had already delighted skiers a few months ago: the Grimentz-Zinal ski lifts company are promising even less waiting at the bottom of some pistes and on certain facilities. What was already quite rare in Grimentz will be even better.<\/p>\n

From this new 2019\/2020 season, a six-seater chairlift will replace the current two-seat of Les Cr\u00eats, as well as the Lona 1 ski lift.<\/p>\n

Set at 10 million francs, the new facility would transport 1600 people per hour, between Bendolla and col du pouce. It would be equipped with bubbles, very popular in bad weather.<\/p>\n

Ten-seater gondolas would also replace the Zinal-Sorebois cable car in the 2020\/2021 season. These new “bubble lifts” would reduce the travel time by 2.4 times. They would cost 14 million francs.<\/p>\n

\nThese modernization projects show that the\u00a0 Val d’anniviers is looking to the future with serenity, completing its 2018\/2019 season with 10% more skier days. Already prized for its snow conditions and its presence in the offer of the Magic Pass, they still expect high occupancy linked to new accommodation capacity.<\/p>\n

To satisfy these potential new tourists and its current customers, the ski lift company is looking to replace the ski lift of the Combe by a gondola between Sorebois and Espace Weisshorn. This project would improve the resort’s summer offer, allowing walkers to cross the entire estate and access the new restaurant. The company also plans to build, in collaboration with the alp of Sorebois, a facility with table service for 120 guests.<\/p>\n

\nAt what horizon? “2021”, answers without hesitation a Simon Crettaz really motivated. “We are going to be quick to look for the 10 million needed to put the investments together.” The president of the company does not fear the end of skiing, he says: By lowering prices with the Magic Pass, we put people back on the slopes.
