And yet it worked: 200 to 300 riders, including some World Cup leaders like Henrik Kristoffersen, are already training on the slopes of Zinal.\n\n\n\nAmong them is the Japanese snowboarder Tomoka Takeuchi- winner of the silver medal in Sotchi. The skiing and training conditions were so convincing that she directly spent another training week in Val D’Anniviers. She was always on the move by 7 a.m. and later in the\nafternoon there were more training sessions on the home trainer, which she always has in her luggage.\n\n\n\nBut her highlight of the day was the session of relaxation in the Jacuzzi on the terrace of the apartment with us at Les Rahas<\/a> – with a view of the summit where she trained\nduring the day.\n\n\n\nWhile the snow last week was still very poor to allow the ordinary ski fan to enjoy the first skiing and snow experiences, today there is a completely different picture. And Meteosuisse is even promising us many centimetres of fresh crunchy new snow.
