Ski & Mountain Bike Events<\/h3>\n

The unique Alpine landscape around Grimentz allows for one of the best skiing and mountain biking opportunities in Switzerland, with this comes some fantastic events to watch or take part in. Exciting downhill skiing competitions take place on the slopes of the Val d\u2019Anniviers, while mountain bike activities take place closer to the Grimentz village.<\/p>\n

The legendary Grand Raid Mountain Bike Race finishes in Grimentz, with participants allowed to join at any of four starting points along the 125km total race length. From Verbier (1500 m) to Grimentz (1570 m), participants enjoy incredible scenery as they pass through the mountain trails.<\/p>\n

Daytime Entertainment<\/h3>\n

The peaceful village of Grimentz is a beautiful place to explore in the daytime, with extensive views of the surrounding mountains. This village is a true Alpine wonderland. The village has a natural ice rink<\/a>, which makes a fantastic afternoon activity for the whole family, both in the day and in the evening, when it is lit to make it even more magical.<\/p>\n

Witness the famous cattle drive in mid-June, which goes up to an altitude of 2850m. Traditionally, this is the day the cows choose among themselves their queen and their ranking within the herd, which will last the whole summer. In addition to the Eringer cows, which are native to the Val d’Anniviers, more than 20 other breeds spend the summer together. The queens are specially adorned when the cows leave the pastures. Having a queen in your own cowshed is something very desirable. Milk from these cows is processed directly on site into Raclette or Tomme. The cheese dairy on the Moiry alp is the highest in Switzerland.<\/p>\n

Evening Entertainment<\/h3>\n

As the sunlight fades on the village of Grimentz, it begins to adopt an even more traditional feel, with a sense of magic in the air as the Alpine architecture is lit by soft, warm streetlights. Walking through the streets at this time is an experience in itself, but if you are looking for something more exciting, why not head for the slopes once again to enjoy evening skiing and fondue.<\/p>\n

Fondue Lune Bendolla is a great activity for the whole family, and an experience like no other. Come and eat a fondue and ski down under the full moon from the Bendolla mountain restaurant in Grimentz.
There is nothing more convivial than a delicious fondue with friends and family, finished with a ski descent during a full moon! Starting at 18:30, you will enjoy a fully organised evening taking you through until 21:00.<\/p>\n
