Sierre Zinal 2020<\/h2>\n

Sierre Zinal is the first mountain race of its kind, which was held for the first time in 1974.  It is thus the oldest race of the kind in Europe.<\/p>\n

One of the world\u2019s most scenic mountain running trails, Sierre-Zinal has been hailed as the \u201cNew York Marathon\u201d of mountain races.  It 31 kilometers 2200 meters up, 1100 meters down, along the Couronne Imp\u00e9rial, with its breathtaking backdrop of 5 four-thousand-meters peaks. By the way the Matterhorn is also part of it. There was a lot of thinking back and forth this year whether the 47th edition should be cancelled because of Covid? But how often in tense times creative solutions are found.<\/p>\n

The run will now take place over a month, with a maximum of 300 participants per day.<\/p>\n

Since the opening of Les Rahas at the end of 2015, some of our guests have already decided to tackle the course, and even more to overcome themselves. This year, it is one of our owners has taken up this challenge. She has prepared herself for a long time. This included a training camp with the former winner and director of the race Tarcis Ancay. But until a couple of days before, she had to keep on worrying if Covid would ruin all the effort for this year?  Which were the best moments? Spectators who had provided small snacks and drinks at the Hotel Weisshorn and their cheers on the last kilometers before the finish. Giving up was never an option, as she knew full well that she would still have to finish the course on foot anyway.<\/p>\n

La Course Sierre-Zinal, aussi appel\u00e9e la Course des cinq 4000, a souvent \u00e9t\u00e9 consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme l\u2019une des plus belles courses de montagne du monde<\/p>\n

31 kilom\u00e8tres, 2200 m\u00e8tres de mont\u00e9e, 1100 m\u00e8tres de descente, au pied de 5 sommets de quatre mille m\u00e8tres, dont la Couronne Imp\u00e9riale. Le Cervin en fait \u00e9galement partie. Il y a eu beaucoup de va-et-vient cette ann\u00e9e, la 47e \u00e9dition devrait-elle \u00eatre annul\u00e9e \u00e0 cause de Covid.<\/p>\n

Mais combien de fois dans les moments de tension des solutions cr\u00e9atives ont \u00e9t\u00e9 trouv\u00e9es.<\/p>\n
