Morzine makes a great place to ski for those just getting into skiing, the wide and gentle slopes keep things slow while you get to grips with your skis and build your confidence before hitting the more challenging slopes of the Portes du Soleil.

The Swiss Wall Champéry

 

GRADE: BLACK (37 ° DECLINE)
LENGTH: 1KM

The Swiss Wall is one of the most well-known and challenging runs in the world. The length of the run is only 1km, however in this length you will drop over 330m in altitude. This gives the wall it’s own classification of difficulty – Orange.

Restaurants On The Slopes

Refuel and relax mid-ski at one of the many restaurants around the Portes du Soleil ski area. Many of the restaurants and bars on the slopes are close to ski lifts to make them accessible for all, while also allowing you to ski in and dine. You will be blown away by the panoramic views of the surrounding mountains as you sit down to eat some of the very best Swiss cuisine.

Some of the larger venues on the slopes host Après ski events, activities, and parties to be enjoyed after a long day of fun on the slopes. You will also find plenty of family oriented restaurants providing food and drinks for the whole family as you enjoy the very best the Portes du Soleil has to offer.

La Folie Douce

La Folie Douce

La Folie Douce is a restaurant and bar located at an altitude of 1800m in Avoriaz. With excellent dining options serving high quality Swiss cuisine along with a fantastic view of the surrounding mountain area. La Folie Douce also has a large bar area selling a variety of drinks.

This venue is popular for Après ski, with great music and a vibrant atmosphere. It attracts people of all ages to come and socialise on the slopes and enjoy great food and drinks.

Restaurant Le Toupin

The Restaurant Le Toupin has a beautifully sunny terrace and magnificent views of the Portes du Soleil. It serves a variety of cuisine styles and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Friendly staff ensure your every need is met, with high quality Swiss foods.

The restaurant is great for both outdoor and indoor dining, the inside being warm and cosy, while the outside space is light, bright and sunny.

Le Chaudron

The Le Chaudron in Morzine is a hugely popular destination for those looking to experience exquisite French cuisine with a spectacular view. The restaurant is open for 09:00 – 18:00, seven days a week.

With a large sun terrace the restaurant makes a great place to visit in the day throughout your skiing session in the Portes du Soleil. Staff are friendly and do their best to make sure your every need is met.
