Doesn’t it sound strange if soap, detergent or room freshener are to be identified with alpine freshness?
But at 1600m above the city noise and the heat wave there is the Alpine freshness to experience and enjoy. When in the morning the fog hangs over the lush green mountain hillsides, meadow flowers in all colours are in full bloom and the fountain on the wayside with its crystal clear water promises refreshment, then it is summer in the mountains.
When the heat slows down life in the valley in July and August, you can indulge in numerous activities in the freshness of the Alps.
The Val D’Anniviers offers a colourful potpourri of activities for young and old, ambitious or recreational athletes, families or groups of friends: treasure hunts, visits to the dam and the historic mills, farm visits, wine galas, village tours, climbing initiations, glacier crossings, baking bread just like in ancient times, observing game, experiencing sunrises on the peaks.
And many of these activities are free, since they are included in the Pass of Liberty – whether you come for 1 day or for 10. And there is still plenty of sunshine – because the Valais is « caressed » with up to 360 days of sunshine in the year.

Doch auf 1600m über dem Stadtlärm und der Hitzewelle gibt es die Alpenfrische zum Erleben und Geniessen. Wenn morgens der Nebel über den saftig grünen Berghängen hängt, Wiesenblumen in allen Farben in voller Blüte stehen und der Brunnen am Wegesrand mit seinem glasklaren Wasser Erfrischung verspricht, dann ist Sommer in den Bergen.
Wenn im Juli und August die Hitze das Leben im Tal verlangsamt so können Sie in der Frische der Alpen zahlreichen Aktivitäten nachgehen.
Das Val D’Anniviers bietet ein buntes Potpourri an Aktivitäten für Gross und Klein, ambitionierte oder Freizeitsportler, Familien oder Freundesgruppen: Schatzsuche, Besichtigung des Staudamms und der historischen Mühlen, Bauernhofbesuche, Weingalas, Dorfführungen, Kletterinitiierungen, Gletscherüberquerungen, Brotbacken wie zu alten Zeiten, Wildbeobachtungen, Sonnenaufgänge auf den Gipfeln erleben.
Und vieler dieser Aktivitäten sind kostenlos, denn sie sind im Pass de Liberté inbegriffen – ob Sie für 1 Tag kommen oder für 10. Und Sonne gibt es dennoch satt- denn mit bis zu bis zu 360 Tagen Sonnenschein wird das Wallis im Jahr verwöhnt.
